MANUFACTURING

All clothing and jewelry is made in very small batches in Victoria, Canada. Currently, Korinne designs and pattern-drafts all the clothing and with the help of two production persons, sews most herself too.  A great focus is upon making the most out of the fabric and reducing waste.  Leftover fabric scraps are donated to local seamstresses and the business is currently on a realistic less-waste mission for 2018. All scraps have been collected for the year. Some are donated to Leslie who makes kids sun hats from them (contact me if you’d like her info), are made into scrunchies and others saved for patchwork dreams.

Most items are made upon order. Please be aware of up to 10 tens before shipping.

All clay work is made by Korinne and is carried back and forth from her studio, to her small electric setter kiln at home for firing.

FABRIC & CLAY

All fabrics are made from natural fibers - linen, hemp, cotton, silk, wool or tencel and are purchased from local fabric shops, small vendors and Canadian wholesalers. Some of the fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified. Some of the linens are European fibers that meets high environmental standards and are dyed & finished in the United States. To inquire further, email me with questions.

The clay and glazes are purchased from local pottery suppliers.

SIZING

Currently, Korinne Vader Handmade Goods produces one size women's garments.  All flat measurements are in descriptions and if the fabric has been pre-washed.

We understand that women are not one size and wish we could make all the sizes, but we're a small business (very small).  What is offered, is that patterns can be slightly adjusted to ones liking, such as a bit longer or shorter, larger or smaller in hips, etc.  These requests must be approved through email and any alterations to a pattern make the garment a final sale.

Sizes will be available in 2019 for some garments.

CARE

All garments have care instruction labels sewn into them.  Most items are to be hand washed in cold water and hang to dry.

All jewelry is a mixture of clay and fibre, try not to get wet, but allow to dry completely before storing.
